What: Make this Holiday one you and your family will never forget when you board the Polar Express in Bristow. The Polar Express Train Ride affords families the experience of a lifetime as they “jump” into one of the most beloved Christmas children’s’ books. While the kids sip on hot cocoa and snack on warm baked cookies, they’ll enjoy a reading of “The Polar Express,” while music from the film plays through the cars. When the train reaches the North Pole, Santa and his elves board, where they lead everyone in singing some favorite carols and gift each child with their own special silver sleigh bell.

What: Only 4 more days until the city’s annual Christmas Parade, an event dating back to the 1920s, which was designed to delight all ages and kick off the holiday season in Tulsa. It all starts at 6:00 p.m.! This festive celebration features floats, marching bands, drill teams, dancers, giant balloons, and who could forget Santa. Bundle up and join family and friends for this year’s highly anticipated Tulsa Christmas Parade.

What: Join Downtown Tulsa as it is transformed into a festive wonderland during this year’s annual WinterFest. Experience the thrill of outdoor ice skating, see Oklahoma’s tallest outdoor Christmas tree, take a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, listen to live entertainment, and browse beautiful holiday light displays with your loved ones. Surrounded by festive nutcrackers, twinkling lights, and a 44-foot tree decked out with 35,700 lights, the outdoor ice rink is located adjacent to the BOK Center in Downtown Tulsa. Segway Santa wheels around the main plaza at the center passing out candy canes and posing for pictures much to delight of children and adults.
Cost: $10 per person with included skate rental or $5 with your own skates. Children three and under are $5. Breakfast with Santa is $8 plus an online service fee of $1.43 per person. Free entertainment is provided each Friday and Saturday at the ONEOK stage.

What: Father Christmas will be at Will Rogers Birthplace Ranch for the first-ever “Will’s Country Christmas” holiday celebration featuring hay rides, caroling, brass trio, walking lantern tours of house and grounds, and stories of Christmas on the prairie. Vendors will be present for those last minute gifts. Kids can make ornaments to take home. Hot chocolate and cider will be available for purchase as will Will’s favorite food, beans and ham, served up with Indian fry bread.
Cost: Advance tickets are on sale now at $10 for adults. Children 17 and under are free to attend. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance so hurry and get yours today before they’re all gone. See the website (above) for more information.
Tulsa Ballet: The Nutcracker Ballet

What: Share in the magic of the season this December by joining the Tulsa Ballet in association with the Tulsa Performing Arts Center, as they unfold a young girl’s magical fantasy in the story of “The Nutcracker.” More than 100 local children join the professional company to help the larger-than-life Mouse King battle the Nutcracker Prince and his toy soldier brigade. The beloved character Mother Ginger returns again as part of the 2015 production. “The Nutcracker” is a must see!
